Find the Right Fit offers a variety of counseling options.
 

Every student and family is unique. From a traditional college search to gap year and post grad options we can develop a plan that works. Choose from hourly to a full package of services to fit your needs and timeframe.

 

The first 30 min consultstion session is always free!

2024 College Application Boot Camp
  • Tuesday, Aug. 13

    • Common Application: Filling out the CA & Activity List

    • Letter of Recommendation, strategy, and prep

    • Questions about college visits and interviews

    • Discuss college list strategy (Likely, Target, Reach) schools

  • Wednesday, Aug. 14

    • Writing drafts of the Common App essay and supplemental essays

    • Refining the college list

    • Strategize when to apply, ED, EA, Regular, create application calendar

  • Thursday, Aug. 15

    • Scholarships and financial aid information

    • Continue work on the college essay

    • Special considerations for student-athletes, musicians, artists, etc.

    • Apply and send (if ready) in-state or regional applications with no essay or rec requirements.

Cost: $750 per student for all 3 days

Comprehensive Junior - Senior Year Package
Hourly Consultation & Mini Packages

This package will include but is not limited to the following:

 

  • Review of academic accomplishments and course selection, advice on course selection

  • Test-taking timeline and test prep recommendations

  • Assistance with NCAA requirements if they pertain

  • Extracurricular involvement recommendations

  • In-depth work on college preferences (students and parents)

  • Career assessment and aptitude inventory's

  • Refinement of college list using interests and aptitude survey's

  • Advice on college visiting and practice interviewing

  • Action plan with organized timeline

  • Activities resume creation and editing

  • Common App Essay and Supplemental Essay brainstorming and editing

  • CollegePlannerPro for tracking dates, managing deadlines and meetings, invoicing

  • College Essay Organizer for tracking and editing essays

  • Assistance with FAFSA and  CCS PROFILE applications as needed

  • Review of application

  • Consultation on letters of recommendation and scholarship research

  • Help with final choice and selection

 

            (typically 40 hours) starting fall of junior year 

 

General advice by the hour on a variety of College search and application topics such as:

 

  • Testing and preparation

  • College visiting /interviewing

  • College list and research

  • The activity list preparation for Common App

  • Common App essay, Supplemental Essays, and Personal Statements

 

Mini Package - 3 hours for topics such as college list preparation, career and aptitude testing, essay work, activities resume editing
